Granny is Herry's grandmother.
Appearance
She is a short woman with a slightly hunched back. She has grey/white hair she keeps styled in a bun, wears a black dress with an apron, grey/black stockings, and black heeled shoes.
Personality
An old lady that is very fond of her grandson and pet dog, Pepe.
While she appears like an average elderly woman, she is actually very energetic and feisty, shown when she fearlessly stood up to Cronus and in photos of her and Herry running with bulls and skiing down a mountain.
Biography
Granny is Greek. At some point she acquired a dog named Pepe[1] and lives in the city of New Olympia,[2] separate from Herry and his parents who live on a farm.[3]
Over time she went on many vacation excursions with Herry, including skydiving, a running of the bulls in Spain, fishing, and skiing.[4]
Cronus takes her hostage as bait for Herry, and he also reveals to her that her grandson is a hero. She does not seem fazed by the fact and quickly sets Herry to do more chores for her. It was also revealed that she is the one who taught Herry how to fight.[4]
Relationships
- Herry: Her grandson. Granny is very close with Herry although she sometimes uses his strength to do several chores around the house; which she claims to have increased after learning the truth of his hero status. She also appears to have taught him some wrestling maneuvers and is cautious of how he uses his body mechanics during fights as she at one point tells him to lift from his knees and not his back.
- Zeus: While it's not clear how exactly they came to know each other, they appear to have become close friends as Zeus had attended her Mother's Day party and she instantly knew who he was and they are shown to get along very well.
- Pepe: Granny's pet and companion. Similar to her grandson, Granny is heavily concerned about his well being. Any time that Pepe goes missing or is in danger, Granny becomes incredibly worried.
Trivia
- Her voice actor Peter Kelamis based his performance on of his own Greek grandmother and was anxious to audition for her.[citation needed]
- It is unknown if she is a descendant of Hercules or not.
- She is occasionally shown to knit and loves to garden.
