The Caduceus is a magical staff owned by Hermes.
Description
The Caduceus has the power to control any animal, both ordinary and mythological; thus, it is the only thing capable of controlling Griffens. This power does not extend to Cronus' Giants, and it cannot function at all if broken. It has a switch that can turn this ability on and off manually.[1]
The staff is much heavier than it appears, as mortals have difficulty wielding it while Hermes can do so with ease.[1]
Mythology
The Caduceus (Greekκηρύκειον) is a herald's staff, a symbolic object representing Hermes, and by extension trades, occupations or undertakings associated with him; such as theft, communication, and messages.

- It is not absolutely clear if the staff can affect giants or not as Odie struggled to get the staff working before the giants stole it.
- It is mentioned by Hermes in Cronus Keystroke that the staff can also create portals.
- A minor error is shown on the staff after Atlanta's debut when the staff was shown to be much smaller and thinner and after Hermes rescued Herry as an extra loop is seen.
- In the episode They Might be G.I.Ants, the staff is used to unlock the control panel where The Techno-Greeks work and play games.
